The "long" of it:
I found myself looking all over for affordable custom packaging options. I finally came up with several options that are working well for me and decided to offer them to fellow Etsy shop owners and crafters who do craft fairs and the like. How appropriate to display your handmade merchandise with handmade packaging!

• Custom packaging establishes a professional appeal and brand image to your creations. It's the differentiation that sets you apart from the rest. And it's still homemade, so it doesn't detract from the uniqueness of your product and the feel of Etsy shops.

• This is a cost-effective way to get your information out to your customers. I can include your Etsy, Artfire, or dot-com websites all in one place. I can include your Facebook page and Twitter name... email address, coupon code, prices, care instructions... whatever you want. Save the business cards for other uses. This is a nice, handmade, yet professional way to display your creations while establishing a brand image for your shop.

What I DO make a habit of doing, however, is posting my sketches and images on my Facebook Fan Page in albums marked "Custom Printing" and use those as my portfolio. It is the only way I have to showcase my work and designs since I choose to leave my information off the finished product. I consider it free advertising for you, not an attempt to violate your right to personal and private purchases on Etsy. FAQs...

• How big are the cards?
Unless you specify otherwise, I generally make my cards about 2.5" x 3.5" so they fit nicely in the standard 3 x 4 craft zip baggies. But of course, I can customize your cards to any size you would like for your preferred packaging.

• What's the turn around time?
It all really depends on how quickly we're able to communicate back and forth and how quickly decisions are made on the design. Please expect 1-2 weeks for custom orders, depending on how many additional custom orders I'm currently working on.

• How do I pick out a design?

• Can I get a mix of different cards, like half necklace and half earring cards?
Yes, absolutely. Just let me know how you want your 50 divided up in our convos.

• Do you charge extra for printing on the back side?
Nope. Just let me know the text you want included and where you want it to be.

• What if I want to reorder? Do I have to start over?
Reordering is very easy. I keep a file for each of my customers. I keep all your sketches and final designs. Changes are easy to make, too. You don't lose anything from past orders and you don't have to start from scratch if you want to make some changes, either. I back up my MacBook on an external hard drive regularly.

• Will you mail me a sample prior to my purchase so I can make sure my product fits properly on your cards?
Yes, I can do that. Just convo me.

• Do you print on heavier card stock?

***This is a handmade product. I do the drafting on my computer, but the cutting, punching, and trimming are all done by hand. Therefore, please do not expect machine-cut precision. You can, however, expect high quality and attention to detail. I never sell something I wouldn't personally use myself.
