Pyrite in Lapis Lazuli Earrings, Argentium Sterling Silver artisan ear wires

The focal beads in this pair are teardrop-shaped Pyrite In Lapis Lazuli Gemstone beads. They are grade A, opaque and measure 20 x 19 x 7 mm. Lapis is a relatively rare semi-precious stone that has been prized since antiquity for its intense blue color.

Accompanied by puffy textured rondelle pewter beads, Picasso Czech glass beads, and sterling silver rounds. The French hook ear wires are handmade by me.

I have shaped these ear wires in pairs here in my home studio. Once shaped, I file and de-bur the ends for comfort. Then the ear wires are hammered for strength. Finally, I polish them to a shine by hand.
Argentium Silver is more expensive, but it is low maintenance (rarely needs polishing), so worth the extra cost! I love that shiny silver finish!

Note: Argentium sterling silver wire has 93% silver, just like traditional sterling . But made with a touch of germanium that severely inhibits tarnish. Now you can enjoy the gleaming silver that rarely needs polishing.
